About Our Honey
The Beeyard
Simple honey. All natural raw honey straight from our own hives in rural Perrysburg, OH. We are a "hobby” bee apiary which means we do not maintain a large number of hives or produce mass quantities of honey. Our honey is never filtered or over-heated so it retains all the natural goodness. Our goal is to provide you with the finest, purest honey available with minimal intervention and stress on the bees.
The Beekeeper
My journey began 12 years ago when my daughter and I helped in a honey extracting extravaganza at our good friends farm. That's all it took, I was hooked on bees. (Maybe it was the delicious honey the bees provide) I now have over 30 hives and continue to learn about these incredible insects every time I step in the bee yard. I have a honesty honey wagon my husband built several years ago where I sell my honey, beeswax candles , creamed honey, lip and hand balms.
I am very proud of the honey my bees provide for us, I hope you love it as much as we do!

The Honey Production Specialists
These girls (majority of bees in the hive are female) are taking a quick break from collecting nectar/pollen to have a snack. They are using their proboscis (tongue) to suck up some spilled honey. Here are some amazing facts about these hard-working insects:
- Bees fly up to 500 miles during their lifetime.
- A bee can make up to 30 round-trips per day to gather nectar and/or pollen.
- Bees may fly as far as 5 to 10 miles from their hive to gather nectar and/or pollen
- A bee typically visits 50 to 100 flowers during a single trip
- It takes about 55,000 miles of flight to collect enough nectar to make a pound of honey
